Displaying a few hundreds records
For this commission, we were introduced to clients that already had an idea of what they wanted. In that case, our job is to clarify all the details, adjust the proportions and decide how we're going to approach the assembly of the various parts.
To illustrate further how this project started, here's the sketch of our client.
After a first visit to take measurements and a discussion to integrate a bullnose to the top, we proceeded to drawing the media unit in 3D, to validate the proportions and placement of the various cutouts required for the cables.
You can see that we integrated a removable plate that is held there with magnets. It hides a small amp and a converter.
Once that was all good, we produced renderings to tests various possibilities for the bullnose. We explored the idea of having a bullnose for the bottom as well. We even considered a double bullnose on top.

The build was a mix of CNC machining, manual work and bending flexible plywood for the toe kick.
